I have looked at about 10 sites and like yours they weren't very inspiring. The "A picture speaks a thousand words" quote should be considered here. You need more pictures (or links). It would bring energy to these how-to-sites and help the do-it-yourself type realize the possibilities. Just by tying back a curtain with a length of ready made beads and snapping a picture focusing on the bead detail would I think really help your readers visualize the idea.
